Gallery Official Opening
By Muk Muk
September 9, 2010

Muk Muk Indigenous Fine Art will officially open its new gallery space on Sunday 12th September.

“Located in the historical precinct of Old Eastside the new premises are an exciting new chapter for the business” says owner and Managing Director Mike Mitchell. “The building, originally built in the 1950’s has been undergone a major transformation and now hosts an stunning and vibrant new gallery space".

The gallery provides collectors and art lovers travelling to Alice Springs the opportunity to view Aboriginal artworks from Central Australia in a stunning new showroom.

The focus of the appointment only gallery is to ensure visitors have the opportunity to view the wide selection of artworks in a completely private setting.

Specialising in aboriginal art from Central Australia’s renowned Utopia and the Central and Western Deserts, the gallery showcases a diverse range of high-quality artworks sourced directly from the artists.

The opening will feature a solo exhibition by exciting emerging artist – Margaret Loy Pula.

Working exclusively with Muk Muk for over 2 years this exhibition is the first time her works have been exhibited.

"I learnt from watching my mother, Kathleen Petyarre, I paint my country and my dreaming, Anatye, the bush potato", says Margaret.

Muk Muk Indigenous Fine Art is located at 14 Lindsay Ave, Eastside. For more information please contact 8953 6333 or email admin@mukmuk.com.
