Korean born, Australian landscape painter Min-Woo Bang gained a Diploma of Fine Arts from National Art School in 1993 and then graduated from Sydney College of the Arts, with a Bachelor and Masters in Visual Arts. A finalist in several awards including The Wynne (2010) and most recently the NSW Parliament plein air painting prize (2012), Min is one of Australia's emerging new talents. Inspired by the Blue Mountains and its surroundings, Min-Woo Bang's signature themes are misty landscapes with a soft focus effect. Smudged images of trees and background are symbolic of representing time and memory. |
