Kathleen Ngale began painting in the late 1970's using batik methods. Her batik work was featured in the exhibition "Utopia - A Picture Story". In the late 1980's Kathleen moved away from the batik method and began using acrylic on canvas.

Her Dreaming is the "Anwekety" (a native Bush Plum) also known as the Conkerberry.
