Aboriginal Art by Angelina GeorgeBorn in 1937 Angelina George grew up on the Roper River Mission, now known as Ngukurr, in eastern Arnhem Land. She spent much of her childhood working the market gardens and farms of the mission. She has a strong connection to her land and culture which is evident within her art. She hails from an incredibly artistic family. She is the sister of Gertie Huddleston, Eva Rodgers and Betty Roberts, and is the mother of renowned Aboriginal Actor Tom. E. Lewis.
