  • Ochre Works from the Kimberley Ochre Works from the Kimberley 19 Apr - 5 June | 51 Smith St, Darwin. A display of bold artworks from the Kimberley region of North Western Australia. Depictions of stories and ancient sites are portrayed though broad expanses of colour, layed down with tempered precision. The use of traditional ochre’s is a strong feature in these artworks and this method serves to create texture and adds elements of raw earthiness to each of the paintings.

  • Panu - Lorna Fencer Naparrula 22 Feb - 11 April | 51 Smith St, Darwin. A retrospective exhibition of works by Indigenous artist Lorna Fencer Naparrula will open at Muk Muk Fine Art in Darwin on February 22nd. Titled 'Panu' this exhibition showcases Lorna's vast range of styles employed to explore her 'Jukurrpa' or dreamings. This body of work has been held in collection for approximately 10 years and many works have never been exhibited publically before.

  • Ngapa - Water Dreaming Muk Muk Fine Art will host the first solo exhibition for Aboriginal artist Kay Rubuntja Naparrula opening Saturday 10th September 2012. Kay’s paintings depict “Ngapa” or Water Dreaming, an important story for the Warlpiri people. Using intricate dotting Kay's paintings portray a soakage site in Kay’s homelands. The exhibition runs until 20th September 2011.
